This consultancy played a pivotal role in reshaping Kenya’s oil and gas sector by leading a comprehensive review and update of industry standards. Commissioned by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Cooperatives in collaboration with the World Bank, this initiative was designed to enhance the capacity of Kenyan industries, ensuring they meet and exceed global oil and gas standards. As the lead consultancy firm, we implemented a results-driven strategy to elevate Kenya’s industrial capabilities, empower local enterprises, and unlock new economic opportunities. Our expert team conducted an in-depth gap analysis of existing standards, benchmarked them against global best practices, and identified critical areas for improvement.
Through this initiative, we modernized Kenya’s National Standardization Plan (2017-2019), ensuring its alignment with international oil and gas requirements. We also focused on capacity building by conducting extensive training and assessments that equipped KEBS staff with the expertise needed to develop, implement, and enforce world-class standards. Our work in quality assurance and certification led to the redefinition of certification processes, the strengthening of quality control mechanisms, and the optimization of KEBS product certification schemes. In market surveillance and compliance, we refined regulatory oversight and surveillance practices, enhancing Kenya’s ability to monitor and uphold industry excellence.
Additionally, our strategic interventions in metrology and testing improved the precision and reliability of KEBS metrology and testing departments, strengthening Kenya’s industrial credibility. We delivered actionable insights and a robust roadmap to future-proof Kenya’s oil and gas sector, ensuring long-term sustainability and competitiveness. Through innovation, expertise, and unwavering commitment, we catalyzed a transformation in Kenya’s oil and gas industry, empowering businesses, enhancing local content, and positioning the country as a leader in energy sector standards.
