The primary goal of the assignment was to thoroughly review and update the entrepreneurship curriculum and training manuals, focusing on the key sectors of Agriculture, ICT, Manufacturing, and Small-Scale Mining. This included the creation of assessment materials tailored to these sectors. Subsequently, the project involved developing comprehensive training materials for a Training of Trainers (TOT) program. These materials were intended for use in short-term courses targeted at youth. These courses were integrated into the curriculums of technical colleges and other tertiary institutions, including those that catered to individuals in the informal sector.

As the Lead Firm within the consortium, the responsibilities included organizing and managing the delivery of this multifaceted assignment. The specific tasks involved were:

  1. Conducting a detailed review of the current entrepreneurship curriculum and training manuals to understand their content and structure.
  2. Identifying any deficiencies or gaps in the existing materials that could hinder effective learning and application in the modern entrepreneurial landscape.
  3. Updating the current curriculum and manuals to incorporate the latest industry practices and technological advancements, ensuring they were relevant and comprehensive.
  4. Developing specialized assessment materials that reflected the unique needs and challenges of the sectors targeted: Agriculture, ICT, Manufacturing, and Small-Scale Mining.
  5. Creating tailored training materials for a TOT program that addressed the specific requirements of trainers who would deliver this curriculum.
  6. Formulating a robust TOT program designed to equip trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively teach and mentor young entrepreneurs in these sectors.
  7. Implementing the TOT training program, which targeted instructors at various educational and professional institutions, including universities, TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) centers, teachers' training colleges, community technical colleges, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

These efforts aimed to empower youth with entrepreneurial skills, enhancing their opportunities for success in their respective fields and contributing to broader economic development.
