The assignment is a multipronged advocacy for subsidy-free household intervention on sanitation and hygiene. The broaden objective of this assignment are: 

  • Social mobilization for community action in Kwale County;
  • Advocacy through appropriate local media in Kwale County in order to strengthen public awareness, raise the visibility and profile of the issues around risky open defecation behavior and the importance of good sanitation and hygiene behavior;
  • Build on the achievements made by ongoing Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) efforts by empowering individuals and families to make informed decisions on improved sanitation and hygiene based on dissemination of correct information.
  • Development and dissemination of IEC Materials for empowering key local influencers and decision makers in Kwale County.
